would like for the boys to warm up. I have a commitment in the morning but
should be there by 11:30 am. Clint, please get the boys together and have
them play catch and swing a bat. (Soft toss or small ball). If you haven't
payed Clint for the tournament, please do so and he can pay our fee if we
have not done that already (Thanks Clint).
Remember this is the first tournament and above all, we want the boys to
conduct themselves in an appropriate manor and have fun!! We have alot to
learn and it starts tomorrow. I will be giving a Most Valuable Player award
this year (or multiple if needed). This award will not be for the best
player or the most homeruns. It will be for the best "TEAM MEMBER". The
person who never quits and encourages his teammates. The person who praises
his buddy and works hard to develop his own skills at the same time. This
person will not talk back to his parents, coaches or friends and lead our
team. It may be one or several but the coaches and I will reward this
behavior this season and it will be a prize worth winning. Please let your
son know about this and help me encourage them to be a better person.
