I thought the boys did very well tonight. Keep working individually on
hitting an pitching and remember to quiz them on signs.
Please have them wear the same thing Thursday night. We will be on the same
feild at 7:00 pm. Please be there around 6:30 pm.
I believe Clint has sent out invoices for tournament fees. We will be
playing this weekend so be sure to pay Clint for those fees.
Also, only three kids have recieved donations through the letter request. If
everyone has sent letters then that is fine but if you have not done so,
please do and hopefully we won't need to ask for more money.
Please encourage the boys to get out and be active in all fundraising
efforts since this is for them.
Clint has prepared a financial statment with all expendatures and as we said
in the first meeting, it looks as though all uniform and equipment expenses
are covered. We will need assistance for tournaments and please get that to
Clint as soon as possible.
I paid for the use of the cages and the assistance of Brian Shackleford as
well as new catchers gear, baseballs and other equipment. That will be my
contribution to the team. Given the expense, $200.00 per night, we probably
will not do that as a team any longer unless there are objections but I
encourage you to continue personal instruction with Shack.
We should be able to get outdoors more now that the weather is improving. If
anyone should have questions about the financial status of the Bears, please
give me or Clint a call. Clint has done an incredible job of providing
financials and maintaining the Bears account.
Again, I encourage you and your son to be very active in fundraising so that
we may not need additional revenue this season. Tawny has provided us with a
great product to sell, (These Cinnamon Rolls sell themselves!!!!) and don't
forget the March Madness bracket on the Bears website.
I would like to have a prize for the boy who sells the most cinnamon rolls.
(Maybe $50.00 cash? depending on the amount we sell) I will run this by
Clint to see if it is doable.
